PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the waster supply and drainage device of an electrolyte tank in an electrolyzer for quickly emitting air, and for preventing the damage of a diaphragm in the case of supplying electrolyte water from an electrolyte supply tank to an electrolyte tank, and for generating electrolyzed water such as alkaline water and acid water without deteriorating the electrolytic performance in the early stage of operation. PSOLUTION: This electrolyzer is provided with an electrolyte tank 10 in which electrolyzed water to be supplied from an electrolyte supply tank 21 is stored and an electrolyte tank 5 formed through ion-permeable diaphragms 11 and 12 and a cathode electrode 13 and an anode electrode 14 at the both sides of the electrolyte tank 10, and constituted of a cathode chamber 15 and an anode chamber 16 in which fresh water is stored for generating alkaline water and acid water, wherein a water supply port is formed at the lower side, and a drainage port is formed at the upper side of the electrolyte tank 10 so that the electrolyzed water can be supplied from the lower side to the inside of the electrolyte tank 10, and electrolyzed water can be drained from the upper side.
