PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system, a node device, a release data issuing method, and the like for preventing application of an excessive processing load onto a particular device such as a server while securing safety and the like associated with copyright protection. PSOLUTION: This information distribution system includes a plurality of node devices which can communicate with one another via a network. A plurality of distribution information whose reproduction is limited are distributed and stored in the node devices. An authentication processing associated with permission of issuance of release data for releasing the reproduction limit of the respective distribution information is distributed and performed in the node devices.
