PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prestressed concrete gate type rigid frame bridge which enables the bridge girder and the bridge abutment to be miniaturized without reducing the strength and durability, eliminates joint members, bearing members, and fall prevention means, and can be constructed at a remarkably lower cost than a conventional gate type rigid frame bridge.;SOLUTION: This prestressed concrete gate type rigid frame bridge 1 includes bridge abutments 2A, 2B provided to both sides, respectively, and a bridge girder 3 installed and fixed onto the bridge abutments 2A, 2B. The bridge abutments 2A, 2B and the bridge girder 3 are prestressed and fixedly joined with PC steel members 4, 5 disposed in the vertical direction, respectively, and prestressed by PC steel members 6 disposed horizontally in the bridge girder 3. Consequently, the bending moments generated on both sides of the rigid frame bridge by the fixing of the bridge abutments 2A, 2B and the bridge girder 3 are offset by the prestress forces by the PC steel members 4, 5, 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
