PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting the diversity of organisms in a water area, by which the appeared kind number (species diversity) of the organisms fixed after the performance of an environment-repairing business such as dry beach or shallow water can efficiently be predicted from only the environmental factor data of the water area, and to provide a method for predicting the wet weight of organisms in a water area, by which the wet weight (existing amount) of the organisms can efficiently be predicted.;SOLUTION: The adaptation of a field and the kind number or wet weight of organisms related to the kind number (diversity) or wet weight (existing amount) of the organisms living in the water area such as a dry beach or shallow water are calculated from data related to the environmental factors of the field. The method for predicting the diversity of organisms in a water area and the method for predicting the wet weight of the organisms in the water area comprise making a matrix table obtained by classifying the kinds of the organisms living in the water area into classes and living forms such as a surface-living property, an inner living property, adhesiveness and a lower living property, calculating an HSI value capable of expressing the adaptation of the field related to the kind number or wet weights of each component into 0 to 1 with an SI model for evaluating the adaptation of environmental factors for the kind number or wet weight of each component in the matrix table or by an HSI model obtained by integrating the SI models, predict-calculating the kind numbers or wet weights, and then totalizing the obtained kind numbers or wet weights.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
