PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode body having high porosity and high electron conductivity, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same, a sintering device adequate to the method, and a sintering holder used in the sintering device for holding a sintered body. PSOLUTION: The sintering holder is prepared which is obtained by sintering powder of first lithium-containing oxide usable as a positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery. A molded product obtained by molding powder of second lithium-containing oxide (whose composition can be the same as that of the first lithium-containing oxide) usable as the positive electrode active material is sintered in the sate of being held by the sintering holder, to obtain the positive electrode body. The obtained positive electrode body has Li/ of 0.98 or greater when the positive electrode active material is LiOSB2/SB, and has Li/ of 0.49 or greater when the positive electrode active material is LiSB2/SBOSB4/SB. or includes at least one type selected from Co, Mn and Ni.
