PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio base station can appropriately change over a communication processing method in accordance with a moving speed of a radio terminal, a radio terminal, a radio relay station, a radio base station system, a radio communication system, and a radio communication method.;SOLUTION: A terminal speed identification part 30 identifies the moving speed of the radio terminal during communication. A ranging control part 32 sets a transmission cycle of a ranging signal of the radio terminal moving at a predetermined speed or more to a cycle smaller than a transmission cycle of a ranging signal of a radio terminal moving below the predetermined speed. A transmission part 13 transmits a signal for notifying the transmission cycle of the ranging signal to the radio terminal.
