PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow patient's burden on hospital registration to be reduced. PSOLUTION: In a hospital registration system 1, a hospital server 2 exchanges clinical record information with and transmits medical bills to a health insurance server 3. The health insurance server 3 exchanges clinical record information with and transmits payment information to the hospital server 2. A settlement agency server 4 receives billing from and transmits payment information to the hospital server 2. An insurance card 6 is held by a patient, and stores personal information and settlement means information for an insurance certificate. At the time of health insurance registration for a person, personal information including an insurance certificate number is stored in the health insurance server 3 and the insurance card 6. When a patient visits a hospital, the insurance number is transmitted to the hospital server 2 from the insurance card 6 through a terminal, and an inquiry for the clinical record information is made to the health insurance server 3 from the hospital server 2 by using the insurance certificate number as a key. At the time of payment after medical examination, the settlement means information is transmitted from the insurance card 6 to the hospital server 2, and payment processing is performed based on the transmitted information between the hospital server 2 and the settlement agency server 4.
