PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biomolecule immobilization array, detection sensitivity level of which is significantly-higher than that of any conventional technique.;SOLUTION: In the biomolecule immobilization array, a biomolecule immobilization carrier consisting of hydrophilic gel, desirably a columnar one of the biomolecule immobilization carrier, is arranged on a substrate so as to be addressable. Thereby, it has been found that hours required for attaining interaction between a target molecule in a test substance and a probe in the biomolecule immobilization carrier can be shortened to extremely improve efficiency in contact between the probe and the test substance solution, and also significantly enhance the detection sensitivity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
