PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of, in no exaggeration, almost impossible for a visually impaired person to perform complicated and troublesome character input to mobile phone, electronic dictionary, automated telling machine, electronic terminal, etc., and also hard to search for a key to input an English letter out of a random character key layout, by making the merit of high-performance electronic devices sharable among visually impaired people and able-bodied people.SOLUTION: In a Japanese letter input method, by arraying 15 character input keys, including 1 shift key, formed of 3 columns and 5 rows, and for English letters, by displaying and arraying on the basis of 2 letters per key arranged in an alphabetical order, simplified and certain character input can be achieved. Also, a protruded portion is provided on a key disposed at the center of a keyboard, enabling the able-bodied person and the visually impaired person to input characters.
