PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication device using human body communication, which enhances security and usability, and also to provide a portable device provided with an authentication function to use the human body communication, and an authentication method using the human body communication.;SOLUTION: The authentication method using the human body communication obtains user's living body information through the authentication device, provides user's living body information obtained through the human body communication to the portable device, compares the obtained user's living body information through the portable device, with a pre-stored user's living body information, and when the method finds that the obtained user's living body information is the same as living body information which has been pre-stored, the method also provides authentication information to the authentication device. A procedure for authentication is executed based on the authentication information provided through the authentication device.
