PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling the feeding amount of a catalyst and the discharging amount of a polymer in a vapor-phase polymerization apparatus, effective for preventing the damage of a diaphragm, free from improper operation trouble even in the case of collision of solid particles, capable of accurately measuring especially the pressure difference in a fluidized bed and, accordingly, enabling the correct control of the supply of catalyst and the discharge of polymer from the fluidized bed.;SOLUTION: The pressure difference in a fluidized bed reactor 1 is detected by the first diaphragm pressure detection device 12 having a net 30 allowing the passage of gases and restricting the passage of powder and attached to the outer face of at least the pressure-receiving side of a diaphragm attached in a manner facing to the pressure space, and the second diaphragm pressure detection device 13, and the polymerization apparatus is controlled in a manner to keep the pressure difference to a definite level.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
