EQUIPMENT AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING NURSING CARE EVALUATION INDEX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment for estimating a variety of nursing care indexes which permits to estimate with high precision the nursing care evaluation indexes used to evaluate the physical functions of persons to be cared for in a nursing care field, imposing no physical and mental burdens on the persons to be cared for and while significantly reducing burdens on the caregiver side.;SOLUTION: The equipment for estimating nursing care evaluation indexes includes a heartbeat strength computation section 5 computing the strength of a heartbeat signal of a subject; a variance computation section 6 computing a variance value showing a data variation in a prescribed period for data on computed strength of the heartbeat; a sleep stage decision section 7 deciding about the subject's sleep stage on the basis of the computed variance value; a sleep evaluation index computation section 8 computing a sleep evaluation index showing the quality of sleep on the basis of the decided sleep stage; and a nursing care index estimation section 9 estimating a nursing care evaluation index used to evaluate the subject's physical function in a nursing care field on the basis of the computed sleep evaluation index.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
