PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact piezoelectric motor which is simple in structure and is easy to manufacture, while achieving low-voltage drive and high torque by adopting a multilayer piezoelectric element.;SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric motor, the multilayer piezoelectric element is roughly rectangular, and its one end on the longitudinal side includes an external electrode, and its other end includes an external electrode which serves as a signal electrode. For a stator, in the sectional form in a direction vertical to the central axis of an internal cylinder, the periphery separating adjacent fixing planes is shaped like a circular arc which is part of a concentric circle where the centers of thee cross-section circle and the circle of the internal cylinder are common. A plurality of multilayer piezoelectric elements are fixed to the fixing planes to be overhung so that an external electrode to serve as a grounding electrode and an external electrode to serve as a signal electrode may be apart from the fixing planes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
