This invention in order to generate high torque in the permanent magnet magnetization type synchronous machine, features that the fractional harmonic gap magnetic field is utilized addition. The rotor with the permanent magnet has the basket shape induction wire-wound conductor. The number q of wire-wound holes of the stator makes the fraction slot of q0.5. As for the number of poles of the rotor it is more than the basic number of poles of the gap magnetic field which occurs by the coil. Because the synchronous machine of this invention generates big torque the case of acceleration mode, it is suitable for the utilization to the traction drive and the production machine.
