PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform picking by less number of persons/devices even when the number of kinds of article is not so large.;SOLUTION: Picking number display units provided with a reset button at a front end of a shelf are provided in every frontage, replenishment instruction units provided with a reset button at a rear end of the shelf are provided in every frontage, and a discrimination code reading device for reading discrimination code of a case and transmitting it to a management computer is provided. The management computer is provided, which performs management of kind/number of the article at every sorting side, arrangement management of the case of the shelf, control for displaying the required number on the picking number display unit of the frontage where the case for the article to be thrown to a vessel at the sorting side is arranged in the front row, control for performing replenishment instruction of the case relative to the replenishment instruction unit at the frontage where vacancy exists after reading of the discrimination code, and control for performing replenishment instruction of the case read with the discrimination code relative to the replenishment instruction unit at the frontage when vacancy is formed behind the replenished case after reading of the discrimination code and the reset button in the row is operated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
