PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly determine the availability of the volume control of a speaker apparatus connected to an own machine.;SOLUTION: A measurement signal from a measurement signal generating portion 22B is supplied to a television receiver with a built-in speaker, and a volume control signal for increasing the sound volume gradually via a predetermined interface is supplied to the television receiver. A voice corresponding to the measurement signal outputted from the built-in speaker of the television receiver is received (or collected) by a microphone. The received (or collected) voice is analyzed by a response signal analyzing portion 22D to acquire a sound pressure equivalent value. Based on the information wherein the sound pressure equivalent value is mapped to a control sound volume value when gradually increasing the sound volume, the availability of the volume control of the speaker apparatus is determined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
