PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium conveying mechanism capable of reducing curl by urging the recording medium by automatically giving an urging force according to thickness even when the recording medium is thicker than predetermined thickness, a fixing device provided with the same, and an image forming device.;SOLUTION: The recording medium conveying mechanism includes a conveying means provided in a conveying passage 20 of the recording medium P and conveying the recording medium P on a drive roll 46 and an opposed roll 48; an urging means 74 for urging the opposed roll 48 toward the drive roll 46; and a restriction means for allowing the movement of the opposed roll 48 in a direction that the opposed roll 48 is separated from the drive roll 46 against the urging force of the urging means 74 when the recording medium P thinner than predetermined thickness is conveyed at the opposed portion of the drive roll 46 and the opposed roll 48, and restricting the movement of the opposed roll 48 in the direction that the opposed roll 48 is separated from the drive roll 46 than the allowance amount when the thin recording medium P is conveyed when the recording medium P thicker than the predetermined thickness is conveyed at the opposed portion of the drive roll 46 and the opposed roll 48.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
