PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an effective use of materials and contribute to the volume reduction of radioactive waste by deactivating it and also decrease secondary environmental load with agents used for treatments.;SOLUTION: A member of the radioactive waste to which uranium or uranium compounds adhere is put into contact with an ionic liquid of a 1-butyl-3-methylimidazorium chloride or a urea-choline-chloride compound to dissolve and separate virtually only uranium into the ionic liquid.
