PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing device and testing method for efficiently executing the operation test of codec software.;SOLUTION: A testing device includes a memory unit and a processor unit, and the processor unit reads input data from the memory unit, and deforms input data according to deformation conditions by referring to deformation condition data stored in the memory unit, and generates the plurality of deformed data, and stores the data in a memory unit, and executes a plurality of encode processing in parallel for the plurality of deformed data stored in the memory unit to generate a plurality of encode data, and executes the plurality of decode processing to the plurality of encode data in parallel to generate a plurality of decode data, and evaluates the quality of at least one of the plurality of encode data and a plurality of decode data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
