PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a tea-flavored low-tar cigarette.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the tea-flavored low-tar cigarette comprises blending of a tobacco leaf material at a specific ratio with sliced pieces of tea leaves produced by adding a tea raw material and a non-tobacco substance such as woody fiber, or using the sliced pieces of tea leaves as an exclusive raw material, finely slicing the pieces with a conventional cigarette industry machine of tobacco industry, and rolling the product with a combined industrial technology and an assisting material to obtain a Chinese-style low-tar cigarette characteristic to China. Compared with conventional techniques, the tea-flavored low-tar cigarette produced by the method gives good satisfaction in smoking the cigarette, fully develops cigarette smoking characteristics such as smoking interest and pleasure, and solves universal problems of sensual quality such as monotonous feeling caused by loss of flavor after lowering tar content of conventional cigarette, low smoke density, dry feeling of throat and tongue and deficient satisfaction and enjoying sense. Since the sliced pieces of tea leaves are used as a major part of the raw material, the cigarette reduces danger on heavy smokers and, furthermore, saves the tobacco leaf raw material, enhances effective utilization of tea leaf raw materials to be discarded and produces good economic effect and social effect.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
