PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve yield drastically by heightening accuracy and speed in continuous manufacture of a liquid crystal display element. PSOLUTION: The information storage/readout system used for a device for continuously manufacturing liquid crystal display elements includes: an information storage medium which stores therein slitting position information for a continuous inspected optical film related to defective-sheet-piece slitting positions defining a defective or defect-containing sheet piece, and normal-sheet-piece slitting positions defining a normal or defect-free sheet piece, based on the position of a defect detected by an inspection of a continuous polarizing film included in a continuous optical film including a continuous polarizing film containing an adhesive layer and a carrier film releasably laminated on the adhesive layer; and a laminate roll of the continuous inspected optical film which is provided with an identification indicia.
