PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the weaving defects of a product and to improve productivity by automatically discharging a defective weft having a joint without stopping a fragment loom by detecting the joint of the weft and controlling the opening of warp when a weft is continuously supplied to the fragment loom.;SOLUTION: The apparatus for automatically discharging a defective weft is equipped with a sensing means for making a weft 10 sent into warps a continuous weft and detecting the defective weft of the weft 10, a warp opening control means for controlling warp opening and discharging a defective weft without weaving it into warps and a sensor for previously marking the defective part of the weft and detecting the marking by the sensing means for detecting the defective weft. The defective weft is more accurately detected by cooperation of a second sensor 5 arranged at the front of a drive roll 23 for sending out a continuous weft and a first sensor 4 arranged before the sending drive roll 23.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
