PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a topology information collection program, topology information collection apparatus and topology information collection method in which an accurate topology can be grasped by accurately acquiring information regarding a route of a little communication frequency on a network from a repeater even for such a route.;SOLUTION: Prior to acquiring information such as a MAC address from a MAC address table that a switch 50 includes, a network management device 100 detects a Telnet-enabled router 10 from among nodes of a network 1 and causes that router 10 to transmit a broadcast ping therefrom. Thus, a response to the ping is transmitted from servers 20-40 and information such as the MAC address of a server 20-40 that becomes a transmission source of the response, is stored in the MAC address table that the switch 50 includes, via the response, so that the network management device 10 is capable of grasping an accurate topology of the network 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
