PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the safety of the end part of a vacuum heat insulating material. PSOLUTION: The vacuum heat insulating material 1 is manufactured, and picked in a predetermined shape at a heat welding part formed of only an envelope material 2. After that, when the outer periphery is again heated and pressed, the heat welding layer 4 is molten and flashed out to the end part. Thus, the safety of the end part is improved. When the resin having heat welding property is used in the outermost layer as well, the end part can be covered to further improve the safety. The outer peripheral part of the vacuum heat insulating material is heated and pressed twice by using vacuum sealing jointly, whereby the thickness of the heat welding layer 4 is decreased and further the end part is covered with the resin of the outermost layer to reduce the quantity of gas entering from the end part, so that heat insulating performance can be maintained over a long period of time.
