PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater remote investigation device capable of preventing the leakage of an etching solution and capable of shortening the execution time of etching. PSOLUTION: The underwater remote investigation device 1 is equipped with the etching device 2 and magnifying observation device 15 attached to a support member 20. A cathode 5, an anode 6 and a seal device 9 are provided to the chamber 3 of the etching device 2, and an etching solution supply pipe 7 and an etching solution discharge pipe 8 are connected.
