PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design for easily manufacturing a flexible general-purpose timer circuit.;SOLUTION: A timer 400 comprises a pin programmable delay cell and one or more fine-tuning delay cells. The pin programmable delay cell 300 comprises a first delay element set 344 where delay elements are re-configured by changing a single interconnection layer, arranged between an input channel 310 and a third transmission gate 328, a second delay element set 346 wherein a first transmission gate 334, second transmission gate 336, and third transmission gate 328 are arranged between the first delay element set 344 and the second delay element set 346 with delay elements re-configured by changing a single interconnection layer, and an output channel 318 with a buffer where a buffered output signal is transmitted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
