PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring imbalance of engine assemblies and capable of accurately and correctly measuring imbalances of engine assemblies using a simple constitution, regardless of the state of the temperature inside the engine assemblies or the temperature changes during measurements and measuring imbalances according to the state of the engine assemblies and environment.;SOLUTION: In the method for detect vibrations generated in an engine assembly 1 by a vibration pickup 3, by rotating the engine assembly 1 mounted onto a vibrating rack 2 at a prescribed number of rotation and measuring imbalances, on the basis of a previously computed and set relational expression between imbalances and vibrations through the use of detected vibrations, the relational expression is computed for each oil temperature of the engine assembly 1, and the relational expressions are each made to correspond to and set to the oil temperature. The oil temperature of the engine assembly 1 is detected as the vibrations are detected, and imbalances are measured on the basis of the relational expression corresponding to the detected oil temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
