The present invention, among others, relates to the use of a pharmaceutical composition comprising tricin isolated from bamboo plant and the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient for the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease, blood circulation disease and inflammation. It further relates to corresponding uses involving a health care food comprising tricin.
