PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically active acetylene derivative having strong helix-inducing force, to provide a liquid crystal composition containing the same, and to provide a liquid crystal optoelectronic device excellent in visual display quality.;SOLUTION: This optically active acetylene derivative compound expressed by the formula: R1-A1-C*HX-Y-A2-(Z1-A3)m-C≡C-A4-(Z2-A5)n-R2 (C* is an asymmetric carbon; A1 is 1,4-phenylene, 2,6-naphthylene or the like; A2, A3, A4 and A5 are each 1,4-phenylene or the like; R1 and R2 are each a 1-10C aliphatic hydrocarbon residue or the like; X is -F, -CH3, -CF3 or the like; Y is -CH2-, -CO- or the like; Z1 and Z2 are each -COO-, -OCO-, -CH2-CH2-, -C≡C-, -CF=CF-, a single bond or the like; m is 0 or 1; and n is 0 or 1) is used for the liquid crystal composition, and further used for the liquid crystal optoelectronic device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
