Battery management system for slave station of remote monitoring system for distribution line

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a master station located at a remote place to see determination results of lives of batteries used as back-up power sources for slave stations. PSOLUTION: Supervisory control circuits 13 of the slave stations 8a, 8b, 8c and 8d perform the supervisory control of a plurality of remotely controlled switches 7a, 7b, 7c and 7d provided on distribution lines 6 between substations 4a, 4b. If the supply of transmission voltages from the distribution line 6 are interrupted, back-up voltages are supplied to the supervisory control circuit 13 from the batteries 12 which are normally charged by the transmission voltages supplied from the distribution line 6. On the other hand, the battery life is determined by a battery-life determination circuit 14 to transmit life determination data obtained by the battery-life determination circuit to the master station 1 which controls the slave stations remotely.
