PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection surface suitable for quantifying the interaction between substances, and a control method of the fixing density of a probe substance to the detection surface. PSOLUTION: The detection surface is the surface of the solid phase facing a reaction field 3 for advancing the interaction between substances and is constituted by respectively bonding an aminosilane compound 1 having a free amino acid and an aminosilane compound 2, of which the amino group is blocked, to the surface S of the solid phase in a predetermined ratio through silane coupling reaction. A sensor chip constituted by providing the detection surface to a substrate and a control technique of the fixing density of the probe substance 5 to the surface S of the solid phase are also disclosed.
