PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial barrier environmental monitoring apparatus for monitoring a metal corrosion even if an artificial barrier is deeply buried under the ground in an anaerobic environment.;SOLUTION: An optical fiber metal corrosion detecting sensor 500 is installed around an over pack OP, and measures biological bacteria. A fiber sensor measuring controller 300 separates a light obtained by implementing a surface plasmon resonance of a near field light as a detection value from the optical fiber metal corrosion detecting sensor 500, and obtains the light absorption quantity of a wavelength according to the physical quantity of the biological bacteria. A corrosion determining device 111 of a collected data processor 110 of the artificial barrier environmental monitoring apparatus 100 determines the existence of the corrosion in the over pack by comparing the biological bacteria quantity calculated from the shift quantity of a propagation light wavelength obtained by the fiber sensor measuring controller 300 toward a long wavelength with a predetermined value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
