SOLUTION: The three-dimensional image information generating device which obtains three-dimensional information on an image pickup object according to a picked-up image of the object and generates three-dimensional image information on the object, is equipped with a stereoscopic image pickup system 1 which includes at least one sheet of color image and inputs images obtained by picking up the object from a plurality of viewpoints and a computation device 12 which performs the processes of extracting and preprocessing luminance information of a color image, obtaining three-dimensional information from the preprocessed images, and compensating the effect of the p reprocessing for the three-dimensional information and pastes the color image as a texture on the compensated three-dimensional image to generate a three-dimensional image.
