PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin modifier capable of imparting hydrophilicity (resistance to uneven drying) to a coated film without damaging waterproofness of the coated film.;SOLUTION: The resin modifier comprises an epoxy compound represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an alkenyl group and an acyl group and has 8 to 18 carbons; N is a nitrogen atom; X is a glycidyl group or a hydrogen atom, with the proviso that at least one of two Xs is the glycidyl group; AO is a 2-4C oxyalkylene group; M is a 1-3C organic group; q is an integer of 0-4; m is an integer of 1-20; n is an integer of 1-10; and the total number of AO is 20-100) as an essential component.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
