PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating human waste water in which the microbe propagated in a pre-reaction means is returned to the pre-reaction means so that the amount of the microbe can be controlled to be adequate in the pre-reaction means and a part of the human waste water to be not oxidized is introduced into a biological reaction means so that the amount of organic matter to be replenished can be cut down remarkably. PSOLUTION: The apparatus for treating the human waste water is provided with: an addition part 1 into which human waste water is introduced and in which an inorganic flocculant is added to/mixed with the introduced human waste water; the pre-reaction means 2 into which the flocculated human waste water is introduced and oxidized; a sludge precipitation tank 3 for separating the suspended liquid from the pre-reaction means into a supernatant liquid and sludge by solid-liquid separation and by gravity; a dehydration means 4 for dehydrating the separated sludge; the biological reaction means 5 into which the supernatant liquid is introduced, nitrified and denitrified; a membrane separation means 6 for separating the suspended liquid from the biological reaction means into sludge and treated liquid by solid-liquid separation; and a returning means 7 for returning waste sludge to the pre-reaction means 2 or its pre-stage.
