PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a powdered coal material to be blown into a blast furnace tuyere from high-ash coal or high-volatility coal, which is not suitable for a raw material of the powdered coal to be blown into the blast furnace tuyere.;SOLUTION: This production method comprises the steps of; charging the high-ash coal 5 and oxygen 6 into a partial combustion gasification furnace 1 in a lower step of an entrained bed coal gasification furnace with two chambers and two steps to partially burn the high-ash coal 5 at 1,400°C or higher and gasify it in the partial combustion gasification furnace 1; and charging low-ash coal 4 into a thermal decomposition gasification furnace 2 in an upper step of the entrained bed coal gasification furnace with the two chambers and two steps to thermally decompose the low-ash coal 4 into a gas and a char 7 at 800 to 1,100°C, while using a sensible heat of the hot gas which has been gasified in the partial combustion gasification furnace 1; collecting the gas and the char 7; and solid-gas separating them in a cyclone 3 to collect the char 7.
