PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance filter for gas turbine intake air which prevents lowering of power generation output by ensuring life of ≥8,000 hours even to high concentration of air dust having 0.3 to 0.5 μm grain size and further reducing adhesion of the air dust onto an air compressor or the like of a conventional gas turbine plant and thereby which dispenses with cleaning of the air compressor or the like and exchanging of a filter for a long time and makes installation space of a filter unit compact and to provide the filter unit for gas turbine intake air using the same.;SOLUTION: The high performance filter for gas turbine intake air has filter medium constitution in which a low efficiency filter medium and a high efficiency filter medium are closely laminated from an upstream side in an air flowing direction and filter medium area of each filter medium is about 20 to 35 m2/unit. Further the filter medium of 40 to 70% filtering efficiency to particles of 0.3 μm grain size is arranged at an upstream side layer in the air flowing direction and the filter medium of 90 to 99.99% filtering efficiency to the particles of 0.3 μm grain size is arranged at a downstream side layer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
