PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make effective transaction of the carbon dioxide emission right. SOLUTION: A system to support the right of carbon dioxide emission is composed of a transaction site 11 and a plurality of terminal units for transaction 21, wherein the transaction site 11 receives a selling order and a buying order of the right of carbon dioxide emission, establishes a transaction between the two parties when their selling and buying orders are in agreement, and notifies the applicable terminal unit for transaction 21 of the result of transaction. The terminal unit 21 registers the selling/buying order in the transaction site 11 and displays the given notification of the result of transaction. In the case of mutual transaction, terminal unit 21 on the ordering side notifies the terminal unit on the ordered side of the agreed transaction conditions. The terminal unit 21 having got the order notifies the terminal unit 21 on the ordering side about acceptance of the contents of transaction, any change, or eventual denial. In the case of acceptance, the terminal unit 21 on the ordering side gives notification to the transaction site 11 about the contents of transaction, and the transaction site 11 records all proceedings of transaction.
