PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor which improves image quality by improving the quality of sensed images by using configurations of a conventionally-used photoelectric conversion semiconductor element and a color filter array as they are.;SOLUTION: This invention is related to an image sensor which improves image quality and an image sensing method using the sensor, which are effective for improving the quality of sensed images without changing a resolution of the photoelectric conversion semiconductor element and the color filter array for sensing images. The image sensor which improves image quality senses an image by photoelectric conversion, and comprises a scanner which is movable on a plane, a color filter array fixed to the scanner, and a photoelectric conversion semiconductor element in which multiple pixels are formed and arranged at a lower part of the color filter array.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
