PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light receiver accurately detecting the discontinuation of a light signal.;SOLUTION: This light receiver 10 includes: a photoelectric conversion circuit 12 receiving a light signal to convert the received light signal to an electric signal; a comparator 18 outputting a first determination signal when a voltage corresponding to the light signal is smaller than a first threshold, and terminating the output of the first determination signal when the first determination signal is output and the voltage corresponding to the light signal exceeds a second threshold larger than the first threshold; a timing extraction circuit 22 generating a clock signal based on the frequency and phase of the converted electric signal, and outputting a second determination signal when the generated clock signal does not satisfy a predetermined condition; a means causing the comparator 18 to output the first determination signal when the second determination signal is output; and a light signal disconnection detection circuit 26 detecting the disconnection of the light signal while either of the first and second determination signals is output.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
