PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a condensate demineralizer which makes it possible to conduct amine break operation without fail even in a nuclear power plant with a PWR and can also decrease the frequency in the reconditioning of ion exchange resins used for the amine break operation. PSOLUTION: As for the condensate demineralizer for conducting the amine break operation, the method for operating the condensate demineralizer keeps at least one demineralization column limited to one which is operated in the H-OH form to conduct the operation in the H-OH form during the whole operation period with the other demineralization column operatable in the amine form and make condensate flow thorough the only demineralization column that is limited to the operation in the H-OH form from the start of the cleanup after a regular inspection till a certain time has passed after the activation of a turbine.
