PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition which has the flame retardancy using to halogenated compound and is excellent in the excellent bond strength and the heat resistance. ;SOLUTION: The phosphorus-containing epoxy resin composition, in (a) an epoxy resin composition containing (A) a phosphorus-containing epoxy resin and a curing agent, is characterized in that (A) the phosphorus-containing epoxy resin is obtained by reacting (B) the phosphorus-containing organic compound which is obtained by reacting 1 mole of a quinone compound with from 1.01 moles to less than 2 moles of (b) an organic phosphorus compound having one active hydrogen bonded to phosphorus atom, with (C) the epoxy resins of one or more kinds selected from epoxy resins expressed by formulae 1, 2 and 3 in such a way that (A) the resin contains 20 wt.% to 45 wt.% of (C) the resins: Formula 1 wherein, R1 is hydrogen and/or a phenyl group, Formula 2 wherein, R2 is hydrogen and/or a phenyl group, and Formula 3 wherein, R3 is hydrogen and/or a phenyl group; and X is CH2, O, CO, SO2 or S.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
