PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically cancel an alarm of an optical cross-connection unit when a fault between WDMs is recovered, and to release the band of a link that has been avoided because of the fault.;SOLUTION: When a fault between WDMs 3, 4 is recovered, the WDM 4 sends a fault recovery notification signal to a PXC 2. When the fault recovery notification signal is received from the WDM 4, the PXC 2 cancels a fault alarm to a PXC-EMS 5 and sends the fault recovery notification signal to a PXC 1. When the fault recovery notification signal is received from the PXC 2, the PXC 1 cancels a fault alarm to the PXC-EMS 5.
