PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a method and a program for controlling inspection of printed matter, in which image defects of the printed matter formed by an image forming device can be simply detected. PSOLUTION: The device 10 for controlling inspection of printed matter controls inspection of printed matter formed by the image forming device 20 on paper on the basis of manuscript image data. The device 10 comprises a manuscript image data-acquiring means, a means for acquiring inspection image data read out from a printing result image formed on paper by the image forming device on the basis of the manuscript image data, and an inspection means to inspect on the basis of the manuscript image data and the inspection image data. The printing result image is obtained by forming images in a plurality of times on the same position on the same surface of paper on the basis of the same manuscript image data.
