PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening base system of which the installation cost and the running cost are inexpensive and the greening designing can flexibly response to widely free shapes. PSOLUTION: This greening base system for greening buildings, or the like is set up on the upper part of the base 2 of the place to be greened and comprises the greening part-holding layer 3 for recovering and storing rain water or the like inside, the water-storing space 12 for storing water inside the greening part-holding layer 3, the spacer member 11 for forming the water-draining space 13, and the water-leading sheet 14 that is set on the surface of the spacer member 11, covers at least the upper face of the spacer member 11 and dipped in the water such as rain water of which a part is stored in the greening part-holding layer 3 and the plant-growing culture medium 25 placed on the water-leading sheet 14.
