P To output a correct search result by one collation, even when a reference signal and an accumulation signal are performed in different keys, and to correctly output the search result and even when a tempo which is performed is different. PSOLUTION: A frequency feature is generated by arranging a vector for expressing a POWER value of each frequency for each frame in which a sound signal is divided into a short period of time and in a time direction. A similarity degree of the vector of a specific frame in the generated frequency feature, and the vector of the frame which is different from the corresponding frame, is calculated, and a self similarity vector in which each calculated similarity degree is an element, is generated and the generated self similarity vector is written in a data base as an accumulated feature vector string. In the same manner for the reference sound signal and the self similarity vector is generated for a reference feature vector string. The reference feature vector string and an accumulated feature vector string in a data base are collated by moving in a frame, and a music piece and time in which a collating score is high, are specified, and information and time associated to the music piece and are output.
