PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pyramid-shaped fabric achieving effective plant regeneration, prevention of erosion and improvement of water quality on a slope.;SOLUTION: The pyramid-shaped fabric has two sets of multilobar filament yarns mutually woven in the substantially right angle direction. The fabric forms three-dimensional outlines having pointed tips when heated because each of the multilobar yarns has different heat-shrinking characteristics. The method for stabilizing the soil and promoting the regeneration of plants comprises a step for arranging the woven fabric having clear three-dimensional outlines in the soil, a step for fixing the fabric on the ground, and a step for distributing the soil and seeds on the fabric to enable the plants to be regenerated in the region of the ground and to enable the region to be protected from the further erosion thereby.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
