PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information embedding apparatus whose embedded information to contents has immunity to edit or like processing applied to the contents without decreasing a substantial amount of the information embedded to the contents and to provide an information extract apparatus for extracting the embedded information. PSOLUTION: The information embedding apparatus for embedding sub information to the contents includes: an associated information management means for managing associated information with the contents and the sub information in cross reference with each other; and an information embedding means for embedding the sub information to the contents.
