PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet compound for compression molding in which magnetic properties of a magnetic molded article can be further improved by increasing orientation of magnetic powders in an orienting magnetic field; the magnetic molded article can have a reduced flux density fluctuation; and heat demagnetization at the time of compression molding can be suppressed.;SOLUTION: The magnet compound comprises magnetic powders 1 and thermoplastic resin particulates 3. At least part of a surface of the magnetic powders 1 has a coating layer 2 composed of a polyurethane resin or a condensed crosslinking product of a polyurethane resin and an amino resin.
