PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the progress of cracks in a slab by stably refining the structure of the slab.;SOLUTION: In the cooling equipment for a continuous casting machine provided with a cooling device 4 where each slab 2 cast by a continuous casting machine 1 is cooled before being charged to a heating furnace 3 arranged at the downstream side, the cooling device 16 comprises: a cooling bed 20 capable of arranging each slab 2 at a pitch of 200 to 1,200 mm; and a cooling fan 21 blowing cooling wind toward the lower face side of each slab 2 arranged at the lower side of the cooling bed 20 and also mounted on the cooling bed 20 at a blowing angle of 0 to 50° and at a wind velocity of 2 to 20 m/sec.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
